PURPOSE:

Our purpose is to support the school, its students and families.  This is achieved through the coming together of a group of parents and carers, who volunteer their spare time to help the school and school community. As a point of contact for parents for general school matters, we welcome open discussion and represent the school and parent group in the wider community.

GOALS:

• Fundraising for additional resources - our ultimate goal is to raise funds to assist the school in providing resources, equipment and programs that enhance the learning experience of students and support their wellbeing. 

• Communication and Connection - we promote positive communication with the school and encourage parents and carers of the school community to take an active role in their child's education through participation.  Whether it's helping out in the canteen, assisting with a fundraising initiative or attending one of our social events throughout the year, we aim to foster greater friendships amongst school families.

Through our various fundraising initiatives, the P&C has been able to fund the following for the school:

• Annual App licenses

• Library resources, science and maths equipment

• Subsidise cost of special excursion and incursions so all students can benefit - e.g. Schools Spectacular, Cyber Safety Lady

• Audio Equipment and additional staging pieces for use at presentation days, assemblies and performances in Wangal

 

Future goals include: 

• Yarning Circle

• Nature/Bushtucker Trail

• Playground enhancements

Our P&C is run by volunteer parents and carers, who are just like you. We work, do the laundry, shuttle the kids around to here, there and everywhere but choose to dedicate our “spare time” to helping the school and the school community.  We invite all parents and members of the wider community to come along and share your ideas about how to make our school better!
